The Springdale Northern Bypass (Arkansas Highway 612) and the new XNA Connector will open within the next 30 to 60 days, bringing a signal-free route from Interstate 49 to the Northwest Arkansas National Airport. The segment opening now runs from Interstate 49 on the east to Highway 112 on the west, continuing on to U.S. 412 west of Tontitown. Future segments are already planned as the region continues to grow.
What Is the XNA Connector?
Branching off the bypass roughly a mile west of its end, the XNA Connector is a nearly four-mile, four-lane highway that links directly to Highway 264 and Airport Boulevard at the Northwest Arkansas National Airport.
Together, the bypass and connector create a smooth, signal-free drive from I-49 to XNA and U.S. 412. As a result, travelers no longer use the winding two-lane backcountry roads through Cave Springs.
